“Young Engineers has been an extremely successful program here at St Martha’s, Strathfield. It has given all children from Kindergarten to Year 6 an opportunity to be innovative and creative thinkers while working collaboratively with others to explore Science, Technology, and Mathematics. This is mainly explored through building Lego models and creating codes on the iPads. Our students have been so proud of their creations and those that have been involved in the sessions throughout the year have certainly built an array of skills that will prepare them well for the future.“

“Our students in Years 4, 5 and 6 have been undertaking a 10-week program. One of the best things about the program is that students of all abilities are able to learn about Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematical concepts in a hands-on way which allows these concepts to come to life! Students look forward each week to making a new model and exploring new concepts. The children enjoy ‘upgrading’ their models each week and this gives them an opportunity to develop problem-solving and creative thinking skills that are so important across all Key Learning Areas. It has been a thoroughly enjoyable program and we would recommend it to other schools.”

“We have been working with Young Engineers and the team from Feroz during the last few years.
The classes are engaging and kids learn from simple building concepts to more complex physics terminology in a fun and easy way.
Additionally, Feroz always makes sure that we have the right instructor for our group and in our years collaborating together, we have had zero absenteeism from their side, which makes them very reliable. We are very happy to be able to provide these amazing initiatives to the children.
Well done to Feroz and the team!

(child’s name removed) was accepted into her school’s team to represent them in this year’s RoboCup held at the University of NSW later this year. She had to apply for her spot and went up against others in her school & only 5 were selected. She got accepted because she has experience & understanding thanks to your class and what you taught her. She benefited from the school bringing in the Young Engineers STEM & Robotics programs.
“Thanks Mr Feroz,
I just spent a week in Silicon Valley and at Stanford University and I am so glad you are running this program as my kids will need these skills in the future

… I hope your program takes off in schools as it is a fabulous learning opportunity for children…”

I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful Young Engineers session today. My daughter(name removed for privacy) really loved it and we spent some precious time together going through everything she learned about pulleys, transmission, traction and the reasoning behind them. Looking forward to enrolling her and my son into the regular sessions.
My son(name removed for privacy) had a fantastic time and is keen to go again. I’m not sure if we will be able to make the holiday session yet because of travel plans over Xmas. Can you let me know if you plan to have regular weekly sessions at his school?
Our son(name removed for privacy) just completed Lego Challenge. He LOVED IT! as did all of the other children and parents, plus the kids that came on “bring a Friend Day”… Please consider starting new sessions asap—we would be glad to participate again. My son reads below his level and has dyslexia—he dreams of being an engineer and your class made him feel confident and that his dream is achievable!”

My daughter(name removed for privacy) loves the program! She has done ice skating, basketball, and a short chess class and this is by far the best yet. It is inspiring her to be more involved in creating with his thousands of Legos at home. Keep up the awesome work and we will be signing up for next term!”
“Both of my children loved the class! Thank you.”
“My son(name removed for privacy) absolutely loves this class. Thank you so much for doing this in his school!”
